I have always been intrigued by the innovative, often bizarre novelties of the Japanese culture; oxygen bars, cartoned breast milk, ear camera wax cleaners and now, child cartoon pornography. A deplorable “rape simulator” video game has now been the rigorous debate of Communication officials and crisis centres as its viral spread across the internet had lead  to desperate calls for sites hosting the game to be blocked by internet censors. It is in this virtual world that game players earn points for sexually violent acts like stalking, raping and forced abortions.

Should the online world provide a private and untouchable arena for human fantasies? Or are we losing our morals in the process of virtual worlds and accessibility?

If you’re looking for a quick snack in Japan, steer clear of the vending machines because many of them contain bura sera (sailer bloomers), a high demand Japanese industry which dispenses soiled underwear in vending machines throughout the country for around fifty dollars a piece to crowds of paying men, contributing to the roricon rut that Japan has now fallen very well into.
